Refunds & Cancellations

This policy explains cancellations, renewals, and when refunds may apply. Payments are processed by Stripe. We aim to be fair, but we don’t run an “open bar” policy.

1. Subscriptions (monthly / recurring)

  • You can cancel anytime. Cancellation stops the next renewal.
  • You retain access until the end of the current paid billing period.
  • We do not typically refund a period already billed, except where required by law or where we agree a refund is appropriate due to exceptional circumstances.

2. One-time purchases (e.g., “lifetime”)

One-time purchases provide access as described at checkout. Unless required by law, one-time purchases are generally non-refundable after access is granted, because digital services can be consumed immediately.

If you offer a limited number of lifetime seats, that scarcity must be reflected at checkout (or remove the claim).

3. Trial periods and promotions

If you offer trials or discounted periods, the trial/promo terms shown at checkout apply. After a trial ends, the plan renews automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.

4. Service issues & downtime

If a serious technical issue prevents normal use for a meaningful period, contact support. Where appropriate, we may offer a credit, access extension, or partial refund. The remedy depends on:

  • Impact severity (complete outage vs. minor degradation)
  • Duration
  • Whether the issue was within our control

Third-party portal outages or changes can affect features. That’s not automatically refundable unless it prevents reasonable access to the Service as a whole.

5. Chargebacks and disputes

If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us first so we can resolve it quickly. Unauthorised chargebacks may result in account suspension while the dispute is investigated.

6. How to request help

Email info-contact@propertyscout-ai.com with:

  • The email used at checkout
  • The date of purchase
  • A short description of the issue

We may ask for supporting details to verify ownership of the transaction.

Clear plan boundaries, transparent renewal wording, and a working self-serve cancellation flow help prevent billing misunderstandings.
